Video Modelling to Improve Hand Dexterity in Students with Learning Disabilities: Special Education Teachers' Perspectives

Proficient hand dexterity (HD) may help students with learning disabilities (LDs) perform various tasks efficiently. Video modelling (VM) is a strategy that uses model to improve desired skills. However, the limited study focuses on VM HD among LDs. Therefore, this explores implementation in and teaching process of Five Special Education (SE) teachers who taught Hand Manipulative Component lessons two different states were purposefully selected invited participate study. A one-toone interview was conducted individual SE teachers. The sessions audio-recorded transcribed verbatim, data analysed through thematic analysis. Rigorous approaches performed ensure findings' trustworthiness, such as triangulation, member checking, an audit trail. Four key themes emerged: conventional methods, challenges faced by LDs improving HD, advantages implementing develop video module.
